AAM Learning Lab: Change LeadershipNovember 13, 2024 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)The increasing rate and complexity of change in the accounting profession – and our world – continues to drive the need for us to provide critical leadership as we navigate change in our firms. During this 2-hour session, we will explore proven change leadership tools and tactics that can help participants lead through change more effectively, no matter what role they currently hold in their firms. Specific content includes a brief overview of proven frameworks such as Kotter’s 8 Accelerators for Leading Change and Bridges’ Managing Transitions which provide critical insights for direct application to your role. Participants will be asked to bring a specific change that they are currently leading or playing a key role in gaining support/adoption or one they are preparing to lead and/or expect to play a key role in building support/adoption. SpeakerKevin Waits Kevin Waits is a talented and engaging facilitator who works effectively with audiences at all levels. He has facilitated online and in person classes, workshops, and meetings in a variety of settings globally and consistently receives positive feedback about his unique ability to connect with participants. His clients include corporations, NGOs, and other consulting firms who leverage his knowledge and expertise. Kevin has done extensive work in the field of Change Leadership, both in direct consulting with clients and Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Kevin had a successful 30-year career in Human Resources/Talent Management, most recently serving as the Sr. Director of Talent and Organizational Development at Cox Automotive in Atlanta.
