AAM High! Webinar
Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 1:00 PM - 2:15 PM EDT
Category: AAM High Webinars

Creating a more diverse workforce is a top priority within the accounting profession, but some firms are still struggling with turning their good intentions into concrete change.

Marketers who are helping their firms implement Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs – or convincing their partners to start – can learn from DHG in an AAM High webinar set for 1 p.m. EST March 10.

Last spring, after the death of George Floyd, DHG leaders asked staff what the firm should do in response, and the feedback sparked a comprehensive, expansive effort. DHG held numerous firmwide sessions titled, “My Experience, Being Black in America” and more than 60 Unity Workshops in DHG offices to further “courageous conversations” on race with the goal of deepening one’s understanding.

The intention was not only to boost DHG’s numbers and widen the range of backgrounds and experiences internally, but also to improve understanding among clients and community members.

In this session, you will learn the specifics:

  • The firm’s internal and external initiatives, the tactics and approaches that were most successful, and pitfalls to avoid.
  • The messages presented to staff, clients and the larger community and the tools used to communicate strategically to all parties.
  • The external alliances, internal accountability measures, and actions planned to maintain momentum and embed inclusion into DHG’s culture.
Join Kevin Price, DHG’s inclusion and diversity leader, and Alice Grey Harrison, corporate communications director, in what promises to be an informative and actionable session.
