Diversity and inclusion are top-of-mind with accounting firm leadership, but the firm's website is often an overlooked part of that initiative. Today, most websites are not accessible to all site visitors. People with vision, hearing, dexterity or cognitive disabilities may not be able to fully access or navigate your site. Clients, prospects, employees, and potential recruits should all be able to explore your website easily and enjoyably. During this session, we will explain how to make immediate updates as well as programmatic changes to improve your site to make it more inclusive for all visitors.

Vanessa Schaefer (she/her/hers)

Vanessa is a seasoned creative designer and marketing expert, with over 35 years of advertising agency and in-house marketing experience. Now, Vanessa works with accounting firms and other professional service firms to help bring their brands to life.

Vanessa founded Clockwork Design Group, Inc in 1994, and is the creative lead on all projects. Vanessa's in-depth understanding of service firm marketing has been gleaned from her years of hands-on working experience and close personal relationships with hundreds of clients.

A results-driven marketer, Vanessa works directly with clients as a team player, thinking strategically and acting tactically. Vanessa especially enjoys creating powerful brands, modern websites, and cohesive marketing collateral. Vanessa and her team at Clockwork have been awarded many honors including the prestigious SMPS 2022 National Award for Acentech’s Website.

Danielle Diforio (she/her/hers)

As Clockwork's Account & Project Director, Danielle advises, collaborates, and smoothly guides clients through every step to keep projects on time and on budget. For over a decade, Danielle has educated clients on website best practices, to ensure that their site is easy to use, navigate, and maintain. She is an advocate for inclusivity and promotes the adoption of accessibility guidelines to create websites and marketing materials that are accessible to all.
