LGBTQAI+ Listening Session

One of the most significant ways AAM has grown as an organization is from the ideas we've gained from all of you. In June, and moving forward, AAM's DEI Committee will look at how we can better support and uplift our LGBTQIA+ members as an organization.

We invite LGBTQIA+ members and allies within AAM to join a special listening session focused on exploring various ideas and themes. We become stronger as an organization when we all have an opportunity to share our direct experience and collectively brainstorm ways to strengthen and improve our association.

What are listening sessions?

Listening sessions are facilitated discussions that allow a group of people to share constructive and honest feedback about their experiences. Sessions are held to understand the opportunities and challenges of a specific topic. Participants are invited to speak about their direct experience, sharing concerns and insights relevant to the subject of each session.

Jennifer Harrity-Cantero

Jennifer has been an AAM member for the last 11 years and has been on the AAM Board for several of those years. After serving as the head of marketing for her firm for 10 years, she founded and now leads her firm’s sustainability efforts and ESG practice. This past year was Jennifer’s final year serving on the board. As she rolls off, her last action will be to (finally) get the ball rolling around better supporting her fellow LGBTQIA+ community within AAM. She knows the information and momentum from this discussion will live on with the DEI Committee and is passing her glittery rainbow torch over to Lucas.

As a newly-appointed AAM Board Member, Treasurer, and glittery rainbow torch-holder, Lucas is an award-winning marketer, auditor, business developer, and speaker with two decades of leadership. After nearly a decade as an auditor working with clients in a number of industries, he now is responsible for leading firm initiatives to expand existing client relationships and establish new ones, investigate innovative client services and solutions, and instill a culture of client service and sales.
